On Monday evening, all ISTS/NSAT participants will be cordially invited to the Welcome Reception by the Governor of Fukui Prefecture and the Mayer of Fukui City with Japanese hospitality.

Yokokan is a garden created at the end of the 17th century. It once served as a villa of the Matsudairas, the feudal family of the Fukui Domain. At this event, participants can experience a tea ceremony (matcha or sencha) as well as other activities, which provide a good opportunity to learn about traditional Japanese culture.
