On Monday evening, all ISTS/ISSFD/NSAT participants will be cordially invited to the Welcome Reception by tne Governor of Ehime Prefecture and the Mayer of Matsuyama City with Japanese hospitality.

Matsuyama City is the birthplace of Japan’s leading haiku poet, Shiki Masaoka and there are many sites dedicated to haiku in the city. This year, 2017 is the 150th anniversary of the birth of Shiki Masaoka. Panel discussion on the theme of “Space and Haiku“ among academic researchers will be planned. This event is open to public audience.
